About
Stephanie Karis Myers, Yoga Instructor
Stephanie is a full time RYT-300 yoga instructor in Toronto, Ontario. Yoga has been an important part of Stephanie's life for more than twenty years. She wanted to be a yoga teacher even when she was in her early 20's and recent graduate from McMaster University. But she waited until after she had established a successful corporate career in human resources and started a family, to complete formal training as a yoga instructor. In 2010 she made a big decision to leave her corporate life behind, and focus on her passion to share yoga with others on a full time basis.

Stephanie received her yoga certification in Hatha Vinyasa yoga from Cynthia Funk and Karusia Wroblewski at the Yoga Sanctuary in Toronto. Since then, she has continued to accumulate training hours in Ashtanga, Yin, Restorative, Yoga Nidra, and Children’s Yoga. She’s also completed Jon Kabat-Zinn’s Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction Meditation program. Stephanie has had the opportunity to learn from renowned Canadian teachers like Eoin Finn, Cathy Keenan, Tama Soble and Shehla Kahn; and international teachers, Amy Ippoliti, Jason Crandell and Seane Corn.

In addition to teaching at some of the most respected yoga studios and fitness clubs in Toronto, Stephanie has built a successful yoga and pilates program at Continuum Wellness Health Clinic in Toronto over the past five years.
Stephanie also has a thriving private practise with a diverse group of clients ranging from individuals of all ages, to corporate groups, to sports teams. She creates specialized yoga and meditation programs that are customized to their needs.
She also volunteers time teaching yoga conditioning to boy's and girl's hockey teams in the GTHL and TLGHA.

Although Stephanie considers being a yoga instructor to be the best job in the world, she is grateful every day to be a parent and role model to her son and daughter.

In Stephanie's words:

“My yoga philosophy is quite simple: I believe that yoga should be fun. As an instructor I want to share the practise of yoga with as many as possible, and in a way that works for everyone.
It's amazing to see people at the end of their yoga practice... they literally transform; they leave nourished, renewed and relaxed"

Testimonials
I have attended yoga classes led by various instructors, but Stephanie is unsurpassed. The exercises are well-structured, music is accurately chosen to charge one’s mind and body with peace and tranquility, unclutter the chaos of the daily routines and bring instant gratification. She has an absolutely amazing aura that radiates so much warmth and harmony as she starts the class. Stephanie works magic; already in a few classes I could see incredible transformation in my physical and mental capacity. Her classes unfold the endless potential that lives in us but often goes unrealized due to stresses/issues we face every day. Stephanie is truly the best. Thank you, Stephanie and keep up the great work you do! Zara M., Toronto

I am pleased to have an opportunity to relate to you how "fantastic" yoga with Stephanie has been over the past 5 years. Each class transforms the studio at Continuum Wellness into an oasis for us to experience all of the benefits of yoga.
I am a "senior student" & have had 2 injuries over these past 5 years - a torn miniscus & a serious shoulder injury from a fall on ice. I credit yoga with Stephanie as a significant contributing factor to full recovery from both of these injuries. My on-going practice with Stephanie continues to keep me strong.
I have taken yoga many times over the past 30 years but no teacher has ever come close to Stephanie. Her classes express professionalism, knowledge & variety of yoga poses, a student's individual considerations as needed, a sense of humour, awesome musical accompaniment, as well as some guided meditations.

“
I’ve been doing Stephanie’s classes for the last year and love them. I’ve never practised yoga consistently before, but Stephanie has changed that. I look forward to the classes and feel such a sense of accomplishment when I successfully do one of the more challenging poses. I find her classes the perfect balance of a good stretch, relaxation, and challenge. I come away refreshed and destressed and knowing that I also had a good work out too. Stephanie is so accomodating – other yoga classes can be initimidating for newcomers, but not hers. She really does make it welcoming for all levels! You’re the best Stephanie
